GIST-Translate is a Web based platform for connecting different localisation components providing aid in localization of websites, documents etc. This portal facilitates the role-based localization to the users, like Website Authority/WA (One who submits websites, documents for translation), Translation Agency/TA (one who provides translations) and SuperAdmin/SA (CDAC). Translations are provided in form of Jobs whose lifecycle can be monitored by the WA and SA. It is based on standards like XLIFF (XML Based Localisation Interchange File Format) and also supports the Xlsx files.

It consists of the following features: -

•  Provides single platform for all the Website Authority (owner) and Translation Agency to connect and work on localizations.
•  With a single click, the Website authority can submit his/her website or documents for the translations in form of jobs.
•  Increased profits: - Reduces the word count with the best matches from various enriched translation memories.
•  Estimates: - A report of the translated segments, untranslated segments …etc. is generated which helps in cost and time estimates for respective jobs.
•  Registered translation agency can receive and choose the websites for the translations.
•  Split Files: - Translation Agency has facility to download the number of files, based on number of translators he has.
•  Website Authority has facility to select the Translation agency for the localization of his website/documents.
•  Easy and secure download and upload of the files for translations in xliff and excel format is done through GistTranslate portal.
•  Track of current status of translation of website/documents (JOB) is visible to SuperAdmin, Website Authority and assigned Translation agency.
•  When TA upload files, progress in the job can be viewed in form of the incremental translation’s percentage. 
•  Pending Job/untranslated data can also be downloaded by the translation Agency after completing 50% of the translations.
•  Alert notifications on each stage of the workflow to the concerned users.
•  Features like online registration, confirm email Id, set password, forgot password, change password is also provided for fast and ease access of the portal.

The GIST- Linguistic Translator Workbench has been designed to cater for a heavy demand for assisting translators in undertaking fast localization of documents and web content.

GIST-Linguistic Translator workbench is powerful and easy to use translation editor equipped with built-in translation assets like Prediction engine, Named Entity Identification and Tagging, Transliteration, Translation Memories, Glossary, WordNet to name a few. This is typing software, which enables typing of Indian Languages in editors of Windows based applications with Unicode complaint font. It supports typing in Assamese, Bangla, Boro, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Marathi, Manipuri, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Santali, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Along with Sakal Bharati font this typing tool contains two open type fonts for each language and the list of fonts is available in supporting document.

On-screen keyboards for each language are also provided in this tool to make typing more easy.

Unicode Typing Tool now supports iWriting - Predictive typing feature with Inscript Keyboard which currently supports 10 languages like Assamese, Bangla, Boro, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
