CDAC-GIST Translator-Contributor is chrome based extension for website translation and post editing for translators/post editors of various Central and State Mission Mode Projects. Using this plugin various portals of MMPs can be translated dynamically / on the fly to Indian Languages. It also enables a translator / post-editor to contribute / rectify the translations. For contributing new translations translators has to Login through this plugin. 

Translations provided by this extension are domain specific. In case if translation is not available, the content will remain in English, which can be contributed using this plugin. User can switch back to the original English web site as well. User choices for language options and localisation will be preserved so that next time user get localised version of those websites automatically.

Various Machine Translation systems are also integrated to aid the translator/post-editor in contributing the translations. Along with this, INSCRIPT based keyboard is also provided to freshly type the translation or edit the suggestions coming from Machine Translation system. Once the translation is submitted, it immediately gets reflected and appeared next time when the webpage is translated again.

GIST WebOT is JavaScript based Indian language typing mechanism. It has support for 22 Indian languages with Unicode 6.2 enhanced INSCRIPT layouts. As this component is in JavaScript, it will enable typing on various browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox etc as well as different operating system viz. Linux, Windows etc.
